We would rather tell you the truth up front than surprise you later. Here is exactly how our shipping works.
Where your order ships from
We are a small shop and we do not hold our own warehouse. Orders are sent directly from the workshops and suppliers we work with, which is why our delivery windows are longer than a large retailer's. It also means an order with several items may arrive in more than one parcel, sometimes days apart. You are never charged extra for this, and each parcel gets its own tracking.
Processing
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 2pm on a Friday begin processing the following Monday. You will get a confirmation email at purchase and a second email with tracking once the parcel is actually moving.

These are estimates in business days after processing, not guarantees. Customs, weather, and carrier backlogs are outside our control.
Shipping costs, duties and taxes
Standard shipping is free on orders over $50. Below that, standard shipping is a flat $5.95 within the United States. Expedited rates are calculated at checkout.
Import duties and taxes, where they apply, are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the price you pay us. Rules on low-value imports have changed recently in several countries, including the United States, so please check what applies where you live before ordering.
Packaging
Items arrive in the supplier's protective packaging, which is practical rather than decorative. If you are giving the item as a gift, plan to wrap it yourself. We would rather say that plainly than let you open the parcel and be disappointed.
Ordering for a specific date
Most of what we sell is bought for a day that cannot move — a christening, a confirmation, a funeral. Please order at least three weeks ahead of the date, and choose expedited if you are inside two weeks. If you are close to the line, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it will make it.
Our published Christmas and Easter cutoff dates are posted on the homepage banner each season. We set them conservatively and we do not quietly extend them.
If something goes wrong
If your tracking has not updated in 7 business days, or your parcel arrives damaged, email us with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund it. We do not make people fight for this.
Returns
Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Engraved and personalized pieces cannot be returned unless they arrived damaged or incorrect. Start a return by emailing us and we will send instructions.
